Dude, really?

Today I was in a meeting where people got into a conversation about the price of their jeans. The highest cost in the room was $400 and the lowest was $150. I declined to mention that mine cost $4.99.

ETA: In case anyone wants to see what $400 jeans look like, here you go.

Yeah. I don't know what would make jeans worth $400. I just ... no.

Seriously. This is just beyond my understanding. I wonder if those things ever end up in my thrift store, where I pay $4.50 for them... 99% markdown!

Heh, maybe! I like my $4.99 Old Navy jeans, personally.

Yeah, a pair of jeans that cost over a hundred dollars probably wouldn't be the kind I would like, anyway. Actually I tend to wear overalls or cargo pants rather than jeans. (Though I can't help wondering, like you said, what is it that makes them cost so much? If you took off the label, would anyone be able to tell them from a $30 pair of jeans?)

I don't know! I went online and tried to look at $400 jeans, but I honestly couldn't tell what made them special. I edited the post with a link, so take a look and let me know if you figure it out.

Oh! Well, now that I can see them, it's obvious that along with the denim thread, there are special fibers woven in that come from moon rocks. Also, they can make you invisible.

Whew! Glad that mystery's solved.

*giggles* Mystery solved! Thank god I showed them to you!
