Today I was in a meeting where people got into a conversation about the price of their jeans. The highest cost in the room was $400 and the lowest was $150. I declined to mention that mine cost $4.99.
ETA: In case anyone wants to see what $400 jeans look like, here you go.

Date: 2009-02-19 03:37 am (UTC)I think they only cost that much because people want to say they paid $400 dollars for a pair of jeans.

Date: 2009-02-19 01:29 pm (UTC)I looked at the RL $400 jeans..... (aside from the fact that the model is stick thin and wearing high heels - what is that about??) they don't look any better or different from high street brands.
If anyone feels they have to spend ridulous amounts on a label, they should try OXFAM, or similar - $4.99 for decent jeans, and donate the remaining $395.01 to the charity!
