Job Drama Update

Okay, been to Norfolk, have come back, had millions of pipes explode. (Alright, it was only six, but I think that's enough, don't you?)

More recent developments on the transfer:

1) The university loved me, want to know if I can start yesterday.
2) M calls and does the, "University loved you, they want you to start yesterday, start packing while I try to smooth this out with your boss."
3) My boss fires one of my best friends.
4) My boss uses the fact that she's fired one of my best friends and a few other things as reasons that she can't expedite the transfer process.
5) M and S speculate that my boss is planning on delaying the process until they're forced to hire someone else. They decide that I should go throw myself on her mercy, and ask her to please not block the transfer.
6) I do so.
7) My boss all but admits that she fully intends to block the transfer.
8) I'm screwed.

I think that about sums up the situation. [sigh] I hate this company.

Mostly this is a GIP, but I also need to state that if you haven't already seen sunnybots, you need to! These people are scary. Brilliant, but scary.
