Jun. 28th, 2003 08:04 pmSo I've found an interesting side effect to organizing my bookmarks by fandom: I'm reading old fandoms again. Because now when I go to find fic, I don't just navigate to a Wes page and follow the links. Now I go to my bookmarks, pick the Fandom folder, and am presented with a choice of fandoms. And sometimes I don't choose Wes stuff.
I have to admit this is a little strange. I mean, I'm reading Voyager. And Sentinel. What is this, 1997?? Though I do have to say, it's pretty funny to go back to a fandom five years later to only to discover that the great epics of the fandom are still unfinished!
Elsewhere in Taffy's fannishness ... I've been watching song vids. Which is cool. I've never actually been in a fandom with songvids. Except Sentinel, and that doesn't count. Don't ask why, it just doesn't. Maybe because it wasn't a primary fandom? I don't know.
Anyway, a bunch of the vids I downloaded won't actually play the video, just the audio. Has anyone else had this problem? Because I have to say, that without the video, the vids are pretty much just songs. Which is not horrible, but it's also not really the point.
