Dec. 25th, 2003 09:19 pmLittle sisters should not be getting married. I mean, really, this is nothing short of surreal. And of course, my brother has warned me that my parents have several introductions to nice Jewish boys scheduled for me at the reception. At this point I'm thinking of trying to find a gay one so that we can have a nice cover marriage.
Beyond typical family weirdness, who's ever heard of a black and white wedding?? Balls, sure. Weddings, no. *shrugs* It seems to make her happy, though, so I'm not going to say anything. Well, to her. To ya'll, I've obviously said something.
Of course, I'm completely amused that my entire family seems to get married within a week of Christmas. I know it makes sense, since no one has trouble getting off work, but having my parents' 30th wedding anniversary celebration on the 23rd and then my sister's wedding on the 28th makes for a slightly busy week.
And of course, whether you've spent the day enjoying the Christmas spirit, are preparing for Kwanzaa tomorrow, lit seven candles on your menorah tonight, celebrated winter solstice earlier this week, or are just enjoying the beautiful winter weather, I hope you've had a wonderful time of it and enjoy the best that life has to offer in the new year to come.
