Good trip!
Oct. 6th, 2005 01:08 amQuick update before I fall into bed:
The travel went well, the conference was pretty relaxed, I got to meet people, got to be the auctioneer when the silent auction changed into a verbal auction at the last minute, my program seemed to go well, and then I won second place for it!
Santa Cruz was *gorgeous*, of course! I got to go to the beach a few times, had some great meals, enjoyed the gorgeous weather, hit the hiking trails, and did a little star-gazing.
Only bad thing was that my car battery was dead when I landed, but even then one of my colleagues was a sweetheart and jumped me.
Edit: He jumped my car's battery, people. Geez.
