(no subject)

My fever spiked to 105.7 today, and one of my staff drove me to the ER. Several swabs, blood draws and chest x-rays later I've got a diagnosis of a nasty case of the flu, prescriptions for anti-virals, and orders for three days bed rest. And orders to see my doctor at home for apparently serious anemia.

My parents are coming up tomorrow to come get me and take me home, since I'm not allowed to do the three hour drive. (Apparently a bad relationship with your parents isn't an issue when their kid goes to the hospital. Even if she's almost 30.)
