Everyone else has already made all of the insightful commentary on this episode, so I'm left with just a few lingering thoughts and comments.
1) Did anyone else notice that the closed captioning on "who do I have to kill around here to get some blood" was "who do I have to bang around here?" This made me happy. Because, of course, Wesley is the one who provides the blood.
2) I'm wondering what Wesley's analysis of the situation will be from here. Because, given the fact that Angelus' story doesn't give any impression that the Beast would be able to control Angel, I'm thinking that this might lead Wesley to consider someone else [cough]Cordy[cough] as the possible "inside man." Unfortunately, I'm guessing that between Connor's behavior and Angelus' inherent untrustworthiness, Wes probably won't come to that conclusion quite yet.
3) There was just a hint about the Wes/Fred kiss, right at the end, which reminded me of the Wes/Cordy kiss in Buffy, season 3. I don't know whether that was a choice that Alexis made, or just my strange brain, but if it's the former, then I'm impressed. It made the neatest little connection for me, about how much Wesley had changed and yet stayed the same at his core.
