Why do coconut popsicles exist? I mean, these things have actual coconut chunks in them.

Really, are there people who put coconut popsicles on their grocery list? Are there little kids who beg their parents for coconut popsicles? Do camp counselors have to break up fights over the last coconut popsicle?

Oh good! I was worried that they only existed as a theme dessert for luaus.

(Don't suppose you want the pack that found their way to my apartment in a bit of a supermarket mishap?)

Geez, did you at least meet someone cute in this mishap? I'm imagining a cart collision resulting in flying popsicles that landed in the wrong basket, like the Reeses "you got your chocolate in my peanut butter" commercials.

Alas, no. The bagger put someone else's bag of popsicles into my cart. I called them when I got home and realized, and got, "We don't allow returns of frozen merchandise." I tried explaining that I didn't want to return it for a refund, I just wanted to bring it back because it wasn't mine. The response was, "We don't allow returns of frozen merchandise." So I gave up and kept them. The strawberry and blackberry were good. The coconut not so much.

Um, sure? But I think getting them to New York from wherever-you-live-that's-probably-not-New-York might be more trouble than it's worth. :)

Can't you take them back to the supermarket and return them for popsicles of some other flavor, if not actual money?

Yeah, probably shipping the popsicles interstate was not one of my most brilliant plans.

As for returning them, no, they won't take them back. I tried explaining that I didn't want anything in exchange, considering that the bagger put them in my cart by mistake and I never paid for them. But they kept insisting that they couldn't do returns on frozen merchandise. I finally gave up.

(That was probably more than you needed to know about my misadventures in food shopping, huh?)
