Still sick, now featuring a fever. Temperature is now 103.1 (I'm usually 97.1, so that's not great.) Now my back has started hurting too, so every coughing fit has a fun side of OMG!pain.
And I'm stuck in Frostburg since I can't do the three hour drive home and have any assurance of making it in one piece. I have no meds or food or a Doctor to visit.
It took me 20 minutes to type this post.

Date: 2007-01-13 01:13 am (UTC)103 is really high for an adult, and you've had this for a few days. You need to get to a doctor, even if it's a 24 hour emergency medical place or it's the emergency room. Unfortunately, I know the back pain too well. If the pain starts around your spine and wraps around your body, you pulled a rib. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do on your own about it other than to take some pain meds - tylenol, advil.
Are you in a hotel? Maybe you could call the deskclerk and he could help track down an urgent care facility and a cab for you? If you're determined to stick it out, prop yourself up on the bed or a comfy chair and try to sleep sitting up. Lying down aggevates everything about a cough.
