Okay, so I was enjoying Pushing Daisies ... nice genre show, Tim Burtonesque feel to it, Kristin Chenoweth. All good things.

But then they added Raúl Esparza! If you couldn't hear the fangirlish squee at his name in the credits, we aren't in the same hemisphere.

I must have, but I didn't recognize him. Which character was he?

The travelling herbalist salesman who fixed Olive's espresso machine.

And here I thought you knew musical theater! Tsk, tsk. Educate yourself, young lady! Or better yet, listen to this.

And yes, Pushing Daisies is lovely! I thought the little poke at Broadway they did with Kristin was hilarious.

I know about West End rather than Broadway, and really not much at all about the people because when i was a kid we were never allowed to go and see shows, just listen to the songs!!

Anyway, I shall educate myself...

I do love Kristin and her random singing in it everything she ever appears in! And I love the way Lee Pace always looks like he's dancing everywhere, so beautiful :)

Ah, gotcha. Well, Raúl was robbed of the Tony for playing Bobby in the revival of Company this year. It was a wonderful, sophisticated production and he sang and acted it flawlessly.

I haven't seen Kristin on TV before, so I didn't realize the random singing was a thing.

(Psst, download the MU link, you won't regret it.)

I don't know if it's a massive thing - I'm not sure she sang in The West Wing but something in my head tells me she may have done a little! She sang pointlessly (and yet wonderfully) in the Nicole Kidman Bewitched film.

[an aside: Kidman knew she was going to be in that film and she went to see Wicked on Broadway during pre-production. She enjoyed Kristin's performance so much that she had a part written in the movie for her...]

I will dl the link. At the moment our network is going stupidly slowly and downloads (and even loading pages) is taking forever!

I wish there was more Sondheim on in London I could go and see *pouts*
Perhaps I shall have to take a trip to New York *fantasizes*

Well, who wouldn't enjoy Kristin's performance? Too bad there wasn't room for Idina Menzel as well.

*scolds the bad internet* I just realized that particular link has one of John's albums in addition to the Company Soundtrack. Which I'm sure you have. Ummm ... sorry?

Alas, right now there's no Sondheim in New York either. Terribly, terribly sad.

I probably do, it's fine :)
It's still not working *kicks teh interwebs* but I'll give it another go in the morning when I'm finished with my current thing!

There should be more Sondheim. *stamps feet* I'd love to perform in a Sondheim musical on the West End stage.

And with that I'm off to bed to dream!
:)
