I wanted some icons showing my support for Israel, so I made these. They read "עַם יִשְׂרָאֵל חַי" which means "The nation of Israel lives." They are shareable, so feel free to grab one if you like. There is an article on the graffiti used here.

ETA: "The nation of Israel lives" is a literal translation. The phrase can be translated more colloquially as "The Jewish people live." Which kind of says it all, doesn't it?

Date: 2009-01-17 08:08 am (UTC)And I don't want to get into my precise views here, but as much as I sometimes disagree with Israel's actions, the idea that there are people who think the solution--and I know many think this--is that it cease to exist deeply disturbs me. These aren't abstract ideas; these are human beings. Perhaps I am reading too much into a simple defriending.
